A chance to fix what bugged you
Replacement is a clean slate. It’s a good moment to ask what you’d change. Was the gate in an awkward spot? Did the old fence stop short of the corner of the house? Did water pool along the back because the fence followed a low spot? We’ll walk the line with you and talk about moving gates, adding a second gate for the mower, or stepping the fence differently on a slope.
It’s also a chance to switch materials. Plenty of homeowners replace an old wood fence with vinyl or composite to cut down on staining. Others go from chain link to a more attractive aluminum or wood fence.
What replacement involves

- Permits and approvals. A replacement often still needs a municipal permit, and HOA approval if you change style or color. We handle both, and the PA One Call (811) request.
- Removal. We take out the old fence, including the old posts and concrete footings where practical, and haul the debris away.
- Install. Once materials arrive, most residential installs take about a day or two on site, weather permitting.
- Walkthrough. We check every gate and latch with you.
About those old post holes
Old concrete footings can be stubborn, especially in the rocky ground common in central and upper Bucks County. Sometimes the best plan is to set new posts slightly offset from the old ones rather than fight the old concrete. That keeps the new posts in firm, undisturbed soil. We’ll explain the approach during the estimate.

You can replace a fence in most seasons here, but a little planning helps. Permits and HOA reviews take time, so starting the paperwork early keeps you from waiting on approval when you want the yard back. Frozen ground in the depths of winter and soggy stretches after heavy spring rain can slow digging. If the old fence is holding a dog in or keeping a pool legal, we’ll plan the removal and install so the yard isn’t left open longer than it has to be.
